Pre-Sales Engineer

Do you want to help shorten sales cycles and solve the truly technical challenges?

Waystream builds the future of networking for operators and city networks. We are now looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer who will act as the technical bridge between our Account Managers, the product team, and our customers.

What you will do

Step in when the questions become technical – usually after the third customer meeting.
Support the sales team with Try & Buy, implementations, and lab tests.
Run technical workshops, trainings, and roadmap presentations.
Create network design proposals, respond to RFI/RFPs, and develop presentation material.
Take full technical ownership in customer dialogues – from solution design to validated functionality.
Collaborate with our R&D organization to solve customer cases.
In this role, you directly contribute to shorter sales cycles, higher accuracy in deals, and more satisfied customers through the right technical decisions.
Be comfortable working in an international environment with customers and partners in Europe (travel required).

Your profile

Must-haves:

Experience with networks, preferably access networks.
Knowledge of optics/SFP, routing, switching, and CLI configuration.
Swedish and English – German is a big plus.
Used to working closely with customers.

Nice-to-haves:

Background in operator or city networks.
Certifications (Cisco or similar).
Experience with P2P, PON/XGS-PON, and BNGs.
Experience with automation, APIs, network management.

Personal qualities:

Energetic, positive, and proactive.
A structured team player who enjoys lab work and whiteboard sessions.

Technical environment

All our switches and transceivers. You will work with CLI, automation, testing/labs, and documentation.
