CEO newsletter December 2016: December – our hectic month!

Hi,

There are many loose ends to be tied up before the end of the year. It is always satisfying to start the new year with a clean desk. The last quarter has proven itself to be hectic due to large orders that we received at the end of 2016. In December, we were now able to announce three orders totaling 8-10 million SEK from existing customers here in Sweden.

It is very gratifying that our customers are demonstrating a lot of confidence in us and we are proud of our long and stable customer relationships. The basis of this is, of course, the functionality and performance of our products, as well as our development strategy driven by our motto “Because end users matter”.

Our customers are often municipality-owned city nets that want to offer their citizens fast and reliable broadband. An important component for these customers is that their end-users are content, and their goal is to be able to offer an open broadband network where citizens can choose from many service providers, while still being customer friendly. Our products are designed specifically for that type of network!

With our new organization beginning to fall into place, we feel that we are now well equipped to profit from the pronounced trend that we see over large parts of Europe. We have earlier mentioned the EU Digital Agenda which has as its goal that 50% of homes within the EU shall have a connection of minimum 30 Mbps which guarantees major rollouts in the near future. In Europe, the fiber market is expected to be twice the size in three years. Calculations show that the number of fiber network connections will approach 62 million by 2019, which represents almost 20% of all home in Europe. 2017 has the potential to be an exciting year!
